Hi, my name is Kyla Martens and I am the Owner of Sonnenhügel Kennel.
First and foremost, I want to welcome you to Sonnenhügel Kennel! I have always had a deep passion and love for animals ever since I was a little girl. I grew up knowing that I wanted to be involved with animals, in some way. This deep love for animals led me to attend school and become a Veterinarian Technician for the past several years. Now, having worked in the field, alongside many canines, felines, and other animals, I have decided that owning my own kennel and breeding program is what I would like to do. With that being said, my experience allows me to provide quality care for all the pet lives I encounter.
My purpose with my kennel is to provide quality pet sitting, boarding, training, and more. My hope is to provide my expertise to others who love their pets and are needing guidance, a place for their pet to stay, or general training. As you will see as you browse through my website, I also own Sonnenhügel Shepherds. This is my breeding program. My passion for canines has led me to breed Shepherds, including but not limited to, German Shepherds and Miniature Australian Shepherds. I choose to enter the world of breeding, in an effort to better the breeds I love. The goal for my breeding program is to produce canines that are not only great companions but are also capable of performing, especially in the areas they are bred for.
